Now is the time to sign up for this year’s Utah Bike Summit. Anyone interested in bicycles and cycling advocacy is invited to this annual event sponsored by the non-profit advocacy organization Bike Utah. The 2011 summit promises to be better than ever with some incredible presenters including:
- Andy Clarke, President of League of American Bicyclists in Washington, DC
- Brett McIff, PhD and Shaunna Burbidge, PhD, Utah Department of Health
- Massimo (Max) Testa, M.D., world-renowned cycling expert
- Zac Whitmore, Provo’s own Bike Committee Chairman
Admission includes a jam-packed day of thought-provoking panel discussions and presentations on topics such as “Bicycle Advocacy 101,” “Utah Legislative Update on Cycling,” “How to Put on a Community Cycling Event” and more. The presentation on cycling in Provo is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Following the conference, don’t miss the Meet and Greet Reception, a unique opportunity to mingle with fellow cyclists, state Legislators, and Utah Mayors.
Last year’s conference (as detailed in Zac’s posts on Day 1 and Day 2) was outstanding and we’re excited that this year looks even better!
