Provo Bike Committee Chairman Zac Whitmore recently emailed all members about some top-notch events you’ll want to know about (Not on the email list? Send your address to bikeprovo@gmail.com and you, too, an receive updates on not-to-miss bike adventures):
Every Monday:6pm MadDog Cycles Family Ride. The ride leaves from either shop location and rides to a nearby park or to Magelby’s or Pizza Pie Cafe (kids eat free).9pm Monday Night Night Ride. Meet at Joaquin Park (400N 400E) at 9pm. Lights are strongly recommended.Every Wednesday:
7:30pm BikePolo. Mallets will be available for those who do not have them. This week they are playing at 352E 400N. Bring some food to grill or some drinks to share. The place of this will more than likely be changing from time to time so your best bet is to keep an eye on BikeProvo.org.Every Other Friday:
7:30pm Fun Fun Underground Forest Race (Next one is on Friday July 22). Grab your beach cruiser or beater bike and get ready to race the secret forest single track located in the heart of Provo. The location of this awesomely fun event may be prone to change so keep your eye on BikeProvo.org for updates. Go to BikeProvo.org right now for a recap. I raced this event last week and had the most fun I have had in a long time.This Saturday:
5pm Provelo! We will be at the Paul Ream Park (500N Independence Ave right off the Provo River Trail). Bring a picnic some friends or family and your bicycle. There will bike crafts, lawn games, bike jousting, temporary bike tattoos, vegan cookies, and tons of fun. See you there.
