There is probably only one thing that is better than riding my bike, and that is eating goodies that will help kids ride their bikes. Edgemont Elementary is putting on a bake sale tomorrow to help the kids get some more bike racks. They are setting up tomorrow Saturday (9/10) from 11am-2pm in the front of a home on the northeast corner of the Timpview Drive/3230 North intersection (just south of the high school). We heard all this from the great Aaron Skabelund on the Committees Facebook page. Here is what he had to say;
Eat Goodies for Bikes! A group of parents at Edgemount Elementary are holding a bike sale tomorrow (Saturday, September 10) from 11-2 in the front yard of a home on the northeast corner of the Timpview Drive/3230 North intersection (just south of the high school) to raise money for the school to purchase a bicycle rack for the south side of the school. (There is a rack on the north side of the school but it is not very accessible for children riding in from the south and it is in the shade and thus buried in the snow long into the spring.) Drop by and buy some goodies and support our community’s children getting to school in healthy way.
So, if you love bikes, make sure to head over and show the Edgemont folks.
